We first met at a yoga class, and at the time, we didn’t expect to meet someone we would spend the rest of our lives with here of all places, but we did.

Our first date in a coffee shop gave us a really good headstart into getting to know each other, and we realised that we had so much in common!

After that, we went on many more dates and enjoyed talking about our mutual interests. We always felt comfortable to delve into weird and wonderful topics that would never come up in everyday conversations!

Soon after we chose to get a place together in Diglis, it was a lovely little place nearby the river and then years later we found our first home to buy! We have loved making meals with strange ingredients together - following our continuous intrigue of healthy new ways of eating. We have enjoyed doing creative projects alongside each other, watching sci-fi and fantasy series, and enjoying holidays wherever they might be.

In 2023, Mike proposed during our holiday in Portugal, whilst we were walking in nature amongst many flamingos! It was a beautiful quiet setting overlooking a small river and the sea. It felt like a wonderful moment to say yes to the next steps in our journey together.
