After 10+ years of friendship and nearly 9 years of dating, Ryan finally decided to ask Olivia to be his wife! Their story begins back in 2013 when they met while working together. The two clearly shared a romantic chemistry, but Ryan being the moral professional he is, would not pursue anything beyond friendship with Olivia as she was his subordinate. Fortunately for both, Olivia eventually journeyed into a new career and not long after, they shared their first date and their love story began.

Many years later, on January 22, 2023, Ryan and Olivia went snowboarding at Wachusett Mountain as they had done many times before. It had just snowed the previous day and the leafless limbs of the trees were covered in snow in the most picture perfect way. Olivia mentioned how pretty their surroundings looked no less than 5 times during the drive to the mountain and Ryan knew it was the perfect day to pop the question once and for all.

After a few runs on the slopes, Ryan suggested they have a stranger take a photo of them by the picturesque landscape of the snow covered trees. Olivia did not love this idea and insisted they just use the self-timer camera option so they wouldn't have to bother anyone. Determined, Ryan motioned for Olivia to go stand by the frozen pond while he flagged someone down. As Olivia stood there, slightly annoyed that they weren't just using the self-timer, Ryan found the perfect stranger and stealthily relayed his plan. He handed his phone over with the video mode on and said "I'm going to propose to her, please record it" then made his way to Olivia where they both stood for a few moments, smiling toward the stranger holding Ryan's phone. All of the sudden, Ryan dropped down to his knee and pulled a small wooden box out from his jacket pocket. He declared his love and asked Olivia to marry him. With tears in her eyes, she eagerly said YES and snatched the box from Ryan's hands before he could even put the ring on her finger (clearly demonstrated in the video the stranger friend took). The stranger and their family congratulated the newly engaged couple and went on their way while Ryan and Olivia stayed at that spot by the frozen pond surrounded by snow covered trees and simply absorbed all the magic of the moment.

They celebrated the rest of the day and now they are ready to celebrate their love with all of their family and friends. They truly look forward to sharing a night of love, happiness, and dancing - see you all there!
