I first had my eyes on Olivia when she was doing her orientation shifts. I first thought, "Wow, she is gorgeous.. Definitely out of my league". Then we worked together in triage her first day, which turned into "she is gorgeous, has a great sense of humor, is super smart, and an amazing PA... Definitely still out of my league, but maybe by some grace of God I have a shot".

I thought Jeff was a tech the first time I saw him, which was my first day working at Good Samaritan ER. It wasn't until late in the shift he clarified he was a nurse when I asked him to complete a tech duty. Oops! Since I was too concerned with not performing terribly my first day, that was my only impression of Jeff.

At the beginning of our relationship, I would use little puppy Zoey as an excuse to see Olivia (and it worked!). We quickly became great friends, and I looked forward to going to work - Not to work, but to see Olivia. Great friends turned into best friends, then best friends turned into a relationship. We share the same passion for the ER, the outdoors, traveling, and our babies (Zoey, Thor, and Loki). For this reason, I knew early on in our relationship that she was a keeper!

Jeff quickly became a close friend while we worked in the ER then eventually something more the following year. We bonded over our love of animals (Zoe pup!), the outdoors, and food. My favorite things to do with Jeff are beating him in mini-golf and late-night runs to Andy's.
In this period of time, we've traveled to 13 states, survived working the ER in a pandemic, added 2 purrfect cats to the animal family, and completely renovated our house.

I had some ideas of what Olivia wanted for a ring, but they were all wildly different. I did research and was planning on proposing during our trip to Moab. Of course, this "research" popped up during a YouTube ad one night. I played it off like nothing was going on. Then after buying the ring, the bill came in the mail and Olivia took that mail inside. I thought for sure the cover was blown, and she knew I was going to propose. A few weeks later we went to Moab - I carried the ring in my backpack at all times when we hiked, waiting for the perfect opportunity to propose. On the second day we went to Arches National Park and I thought "What better spot than under the Delicate Arch!". It was perfect in every way (even if she had a suspicion of it).
HER
I had a good feeling the proposal was going to happen during the week-long trip we planned to Moab, Utah. Mainly because the weeks leading up to the trip, the commercials playing in between YouTube videos we watched suddenly started to be jewelry-related. However, I had no idea WHEN it would happen during the trip. I was pleasantly surprised when Jeff proposed under the Delicate Arch our second day in! It was beautiful and perfectly fit us as a couple. The rest of the trip was spent hiking, camping, and celebrating the start to our next chapter.
Our story also includes all of you - past, present, and future. We wouldn't be at this point of our lives without you, and we look forward to celebrating our love with everyone! <3
