Flight Tips

When booking your return flight to the US, take into consideration when your transport will pick you up and take you to the airport. The transports typically pick passengers up 3 hours prior to their flight. So, if you book a flight at 6 AM, your transport will be at the hotel to get you around 3 AM. There is a Margaritaville at the airport to grab a drink or eat before boarding your flight home. Bring a hoodie or long sleeve shirt for your flight home. The Cancun airport is very chilly and you will be there for awhile before boarding! If you are connecting an airport before making your way back to your original airport, be sure to allow plenty of time on the layover. Once arriving back to the US, you will be required to go through customs, pick your bags up from baggage claim and then go back through TSA. It can take almost an hour to do all of this, plus find your gate for your next flight. It is smart to allow at least a 2-3 hour layover so you have plenty of time to get through all of your checkpoints.

Customs Questions

Generally, customs moves fairly quickly both going into Mexico and returning to the US. If you bring anything back with you, you will be required to claim it on a US Customs form.
