Once in San Diego, there are many ways to around, such as:
Lyft / Uber
Public Transit
Rental Cars
The San Diego Airport Flyer is a free shuttle from the San Diego airport to Old Town Transit Center. The Flyer runs every 20-30 minutes, from 4:45am until 12:30am, timed with MTS Trolley and Coaster schedules.
The 'Trolley' can take you across nearly the entire San Diego metro area, including La Jolla, Downtown, US/Mexico Border, and East County.
Cost: $2.50 one way (free transfers within a 2-hour window)
Directions to Marriott La Jolla:
Blue Line northbound (to UTC), getting off at the Executive Drive station.
North County Transit District Coaster
The Coaster is another great way to get to and from Downtown San Diego to various parts of North County, including Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Encinitas. We love taking the Coaster from Encinitas to Downtown for Padres games, concerts, and avoiding airport parking.
Unfortunately the Coaster has more limited stops due to its shared track usage with Amtrak. The nearest Coaster stop for the hotel/venue would be Sorrento Valley.
Cost: $5.00 one way (for one zone), $5.75 (two zones), $6.50 (three zones)
All rental car pick-ups and drop-offs serving the San Diego International Airport occur at the Consolidated Rental Car Center. Free dedicated shuttle busses run continuously to ferry customers between the airport terminals and the Rental Car Center.
If you don't want to rent a car
