I met Nikki a few months after I moved to Nashville through a mutual friend. Despite me blacking out that night, we instantly connected and bonded over our love of Paramore and it didn't take long before we were inseparable. We lived together for a year during the pandemic and shared so many laughs, tears, Miller lites, and Guitar Hero sessions. She was there for me during some of the hardest times I'd ever gone through, but also some of the best; she was there the night I met Trevor and an integral part of our relationship from the beginning. Nikki makes me want to be a better friend and a better person--she is the most selfless and genuine person I know, and she understands me in a way that most people can't. I am so blessed to have her by my side as my maid of honor.
Allyson Brosemer - Bridesmaid
Allyson and I met freshman year of college and were erroneously led to believe that we didn't like each other...but that's a story for a different day. Allyson and I lived together sophomore, junior, and senior year and made so many amazing and often hilarious memories in the process. Allyson was always the person who kept me grounded when music school (and its students) were most insufferable. We grew so much together during those three years and I am so lucky to have had such an amazing and supportive friend by my side (who also enjoyed dancing on tables with me). I am so glad that Allyson has remained such an important person in my life and I am so glad to have her as my bridesmaid.
Alyssa Forte - Bridesmaid
Alyssa and I met at the ripe age of 3 years old. We had two years of preschool and kindergarten-2nd grade together before our moms decided to split us up because they thought we weren't making any other friends. The joke was on them when we were reunited in 7th grade when we had math class together and shared the stage in Seussical. We've been inseparable since, spending approximately 100% of our summers together before we went to college. Alyssa has been there through literally every season of my life, every high and low, every poor decision (fashion or otherwise). I'm so grateful for our 23-year friendship and for having Alyssa by my side as a bridesmaid and best friend.
Danielle Carter - Bridesmaid
Saying that Danielle is my cousin never really feels right, because she's the closest thing I have to a sister. Even though her and her brother bullied me when we were little (I probably deserved it honestly), we grew up to be inseparable. Our mutual love of music and singing has been a constant joy for me--especially getting to share the stage with Danielle on my senior recital to sing a Paramore song. Working at a control panel shop together, frequenting sketchy bars in downtown Syracuse, and developing our own way of speaking are among some of my favorite memories. Danielle is one of the most important people in my life and I am so honored to have her by my side on my wedding day.
Elizabeth Lancto - Bridesmaid
I met Elizabeth my freshman year of college, when I was trying to eat dinner alone in peace at the Barrington Student Union. I'm so glad that she approached me and interrupted, because I cannot imagine my life without her. We were both insane double majors on clarinet and voice in college, and bonded over our mutual neuroticism and ridiculous schedules. We lived together for sophomore through senior year and grew incredibly close during that time. From trips across all over upstate NY, to crawling into her bed to cuddle when I was sad, I cherish all of the memories we've made together. I am so grateful we've stayed so close after college and that I get to have Elizabeth by my side as my bridesmaid!
Hunter Rollet - Bridesmaid
I might be marrying Trevor, but Hunter is my "wife"! Hunter and I met when I started coming around Toledo and bonded over our love of breakdowns (both musical and mental). We've gone to tons of shows together, had plenty of wild nights out, and subsequent mornings spent rotting at my house. I can always count on her to justify my insanity but also to talk me down from the ledge when I really need it. She's our unofficial 4th roommate but also an incredible friend to both Trevor and me. I'm so glad that moving to Toledo brought us closer together and I am so excited to have my vegan metalcore bestie in my wedding party!
Mary Kate Traynor - Bridesmaid
Mary Kate and I met in 1st grade at Lakeshore Road Elementary School. We spent most of middle school together as we were both in band and TAG (Talented and Gifted--gross, I know). Even though she quit band in high school and left me alone with all the freaks, we remained close throughout college and beyond. Mary Kate was always someone I could count on and someone I knew was a lifelong friend. We love texting each other out of the blue with "tea" about someone random we went to high school with who inevitably one of us doesn't remember. I am so honored to have her by my side as my bridesmaid!
Jimmy Planas - Best Man
I met Jimmy, aka “Yim,” at a party (that I had no idea was for his birthday) in 2014. Even though we didn’t know each other yet, we ended up taking a picture together to celebrate the occasion. From that point on, we’ve been constantly hanging out, going to shows, flipping cups, or having long talks–sometimes on enormous boulders. By 2018, we ended up moving in together (along with Shaun) and have been roommates ever since. His constant support, his kind, gentle spirit, and his selflessness have inspired me to be a better person. When I returned from Nashville after the first weekend I spent with Paige, Yim acknowledged how happy I seemed and encouraged me to pursue her further. This proved to be some of the best advice I have ever received. Yim has been the best friend that I could ever ask for and I’m so happy that he’ll be the Best Man at my wedding.
Brandon Myers - Groomsman
Fun fact: Brandon and I were friends for quite some time before I even knew that his real name was Brandon. Until that point, I had only known him as “Bino.” But before I even knew what his actual name was, I knew that he was hilarious. The way he can light up a room with laughter is a gift that I admire. He may have only come into my life in the last few years, but in many ways, I feel like he’s the younger brother I never had. I couldn’t imagine getting married without Brandon being part of it.
Caleb Gillen - Groomsman
Even before we knew each other well, Caleb has always been super kind to me and made me feel welcomed when I would have otherwise felt awkward. This made our friendship all the easier when I found out that he loves so many of the things I do like Star Wars, Marvel, or hockey. Even though he’s a Blackhawks fan and he hates Red Wings fans (like me), I still enjoy crushing a Labatt every period together. I guess it’s good that we both love the Toledo Walleye. Either way, I’m stoked to have Caleb be part of my team for my wedding day.
Chris Wolniewicz - Groomsman
Chris and I met several times in the years leading up to our friendship--usually at a bar or local show--but never quite went beyond being acquaintances. That all changed when we brought him out to a cabin in Hocking Hills with a bunch of our friends for New Years Eve in 2018. That trip sewed Chris into the tapestry of our group forever because I don’t think anyone has ever made a better impression. Chris is one of the smartest, funniest, most generous, and most driven people I know. The way he pours himself into whatever it is he’s working on is truly moving. The passion he displays for his hobbies and interests has always drawn me to him because we both share a competitive mindset. If I had to model my view of success after someone, it would be modeled after Chris. I am so excited to have Chris as a groomsman at my wedding.
Jimmy Huffman - Groomsman
Huffman and I have been friends for so long that I have forgotten more stories about him than most people will remember. He’s almost entirely to blame for me meeting every other groomsman listed on this website. If it weren’t for him and the hundreds of random connections he has, I wouldn’t have the friends I love and cherish today. Our friendship has evolved so many times over the years, but it has always revolved around our love for playing music. Jimmy’s passion and talent have always been an inspiration to me. I’m honored to be able to call Jimmy my friend and to have him be part of my wedding day.
Lukas Killian - Groomsman
As I became more familiar with my then-new group of friends (most of whom are listed here), I got to know Lukas. He was already friends with several of the guys and was just always around. I can’t tell you exactly when Lukas and I became friends, but I can tell you that it was like we always have been. Some of my most cherished memories are of us and a few others piling into his Honda Civic, driving around late at night, and just talking about life and how we felt. Our friendship blossomed even more once he joined my band. The joy of being able to create and collaborate with someone I view as my moral compass has been a true privilege. Knowing that Lukas will be with me on the most important day of my life means the world to me.
Shaun Marquis - Groomsman
When I met Shaun, he was a drummer in another band in the local scene and best friends and roommates with Yim. I quickly learned how funny, talented, and charismatic he is as I spent most of my nights and weekends planted on their couch while we cackled at Twitter or Vine compilations. I can honestly say that I have never laughed harder or done more stupid stuff with anyone than I have with him – especially once we moved in together in 2018. Most of all, I have felt a kinship in how he approaches music. He has this desire to be great at what he does, and I admire that tremendously. I’m so happy to have Shaun with me as a groomsman on my wedding day.
