Swimming and water activities is one of the best known activities in Austin! Barton Springs is a naturally spring-fed pool that is famous for it's year-round temperature of 68 degrees! There is an entrance fee to enter the pool or you could walk downstream and play in the water for free. If you wait until after sunset, the area lights up with fireflies which makes for a stunning sight over the water.
If you find yourself with spare time around sunset before or after the wedding, check out the largest urban bat colony in the world. Roughly 1.5 million bats take to the skies between 30-60 minutes before sunset every night at South Congress Bridge.
For our guests of age, 6th street is the go to place to bar hop and live the party lifestyle. This part of Austin is known for its nightlife, standup comedy spots, live music, and bars. If you decide to go down 6th street one night, we would recommend going in groups and staying on the clean side of 6th street (you'll know when you're on dirty 6th).
If you're interested in an activity that has more to do with the story of the couple, feel free to check out the Blanton Museum of Art where Paige and Ian had their first date!
Austin Public Library located in downtown consists of 6 stories. It is a beautiful space with a rooftop garden overlooking the Colorado river. This is also where Ian proposed to Paige.
A bit far out of the way in San Marcos, this is where Paige and Ian first met and spent most of their time together studying for the first year of their relationship.
