The upstairs lounge area of The Rack House is one of my favorite spots to have a cocktail or two. They’ve got great weekly lunch specials and their brunch is also worth trying!
I never come out of this shop without buying something! My friend and fellow fireman spouse, Jackie, is the owner and the absolute sweetest!! She’s got such a great selection of clothing, jewelry and even locally made items!
Although our water may not be the clear blue that you’re used to, there’s still nothing like having a beach within walking distance! Lay out, go for a walk or just sit and take in the view while you’re here!
Jones Park
Jones Park Drive, Gulfport, MS
Jones Park has a great walking trail, playground and splash pad. The Gulfport light house is also located there and a pier where many boats are docked.
I haven’t been yet, but it looks nice and I’ve heard good things! Only complaints being that it is a small location. The dolphin show seems to be what everyone loves most.
Boozers is my favorite little coffee shop and they also have great breakfast and lunch options! You can sit inside the adorable cafe or outside and look out at the beach. I definitely recommend checking this place out!
Pop Brothers is a local staple! They sell homemade popsicles and have so many options to choose from! Definitely check it out, especially if your kiddos are here with you!
I’ve always loved Salute. It’s an Italian restaurant with typically an older crowd. Great weekly lunch specials and happy hour! If you love dessert, I highly recommend their brownie and ice cream!!
A chill little wine bar attached to Tony’s Brick Oven Pizzeria. They have their own small plate menu, but you can also order off Tony’s menu if you prefer. On the weekends, they typically have live music.
A new restaurant located on the back bay with a pretty view of the water and lots of activities for kids! If you visit Flamingo Landing with kids, I suggest that you request a table downstairs so that your kids can run around and enjoy the games and sandpit. Upstairs is more adult friendly with a large bar and gorgeous view, if you're lucky enough to find a spot by the window! Flamingo Landing also offers a bottomless mimosa brunch on Saturdays and Sundays!
The spot where Devon proposed to me! It is an italian restaurant owned by one of our friends in Neptune (Devon's Mardi Gras group). It is more of an adults-only restaurant and I suggest sitting at the bar for the best experience. Mangiamo's offers Sunday brunch too!
Chandeleur Island Brewing Company (Bar/Restaurant)
2711 14th St, Gulfport, MS 39501, USA
(228) 701-9985
Awesome spot for craft beers, located right in downtown Gulfport. In addition to their craft beers, Chandeleur has a pretty tasty menu, has a full bar and serves wine by the bottle. Worth checking out!
TrainTastic formerly the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum
615 Pass Rd, Gulfport, MS 39507, USA
(228) 284-5731
Obviously, a great spot to take kids, but from what I’ve heard, adults love it too!! I read that it has the largest collection of model railroads in the world!
