Casa 1800 - Cerro Verde. This is a hotel + restaurant located in Cerro Verde, a mountain located between two volcanoes (Santa Ana and Izalco). From there, you have an amazing view of Izalco volcano and can also begin your hike to Santa Ana volcano. It is located about 1.5 hours from San Salvador.

Alternatively, you could also make this a day trip. For example, have lunch at the restaurant and have a 45 min hike around the park surrounding the property.

Santa Ana volcano - Hike to the crater. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the top of the volcano and about 1 hour to get down. Santa Ana volcano is located about 1.5 hours from San Salvador and need to hire a guide to do this hike. On the day of your hike, you would need to get to the volcano early in the morning as hikes only take place during the first half of the day. After hiking the volcano, you could go have lunch to Casa 1800 for lunch (see above).

Beto's restaurant - La Libertad. Beto's is a restaurant located about 45 min from San Salvador. You can have lunch or dinner (for sunset) there.
