When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly ask you RSVP by the end of January / early February 2025. There are guests coming all the way from Australia hence why we’ve asked for plenty of notice.
Where should I stay?
We’ve provided some suggested places on the accommodation page of our website but we would recommend staying in and around either Monpazier or Villereal if you wanted a lift to and from the venue on the wedding day.
What are Monpazier and Villeréal like?
Monpazier is a beautiful bastide town, definitely worth a visit during your time in the area. There are quite a few restaurants, a bakery/boulangerie, small boutique shops as well as a couple bars and a local brewery. The local market is on Thursday morning.
Villeréal has a small supermarket in town as well as plenty of restaurant options. There is also a large market every Saturday morning in the main part of town which is well worth a visit.
What’s the weather going to be like?
We can’t predict the weather but in June the area is usually low to mid 20 degrees C. It will usually cool down in the evenings though so bring layers.
Is there public transport or taxis in the area?
Little to no public transport unfortunately so we recommend hiring a car which is very easy from any of the surrounding airports (Bergerac, Bordeaux or Toulouse). There may be a few taxis that can be ordered for the day (literally a few) but you’ll need to book this well in advance (see website below). The lack of taxis unfortunately a part of life in the area as it is fairly rural. Please do also reach out to us if you are worried about transport, I am sure we can figure something out or arrange a taxi for you.

How do we get to the venue on the day?
There will be transportation provided to and from the venue on the wedding day (7th June) from the center of Monpazier and Villereal. If you stay elsewhere unfortunately you will have to make your own way to the venue, see above note on Taxis.
What should I wear?
Welcome drinks will be smart casual. The big day will be more like Riviera vibes. Chinos and a blazer, linen suits, and summer dresses. We’re not formal people so we want everyone to wear what they feel most comfortable in! Although please don't come in all white to the wedding day, you wont want Craig marrying you by mistake.
Will the festivities be indoors or outdoors?
Ideally we are going to spend the majority of the wedding weekend outside (including welcome drinks, the big day and recovery bbq). However, for each part of the day there is a plan B if the weather turns on us. There will be some walking on grass for the ceremony but mainly on gravel for the dancing and the dinner so feel free to break out the stilettoes if you fancy!
Will the food be suitable for people with allergies? And will there be veggie and meat options?
Of course! We’ve got an amazing caterer who covers everything from nut, seafood, shellfish, celiac friendly, lactose, gluten etc allergies. Just make sure you include your dietary requirements on your RSVP. For everyone else, the food will be placed on the table in a family share style with veggie and meat options available.
Will there be a break after the ceremony for photos?
We’ve asked the photographer to do more of a journalistic style of photography so they capture moments rather than posing for big group photos etc. This doesn’t mean we can’t get one but we won’t be carving out hours of the day to take posed photos.. just enjoy the day!
What drinks will be provided?
All of the usual stuff. Beer, white and red wine, some sparkling and a couple of cocktail options (and plenty of it, so drink up!). There will be some non alcoholic drinks available as well.
Is there transportation provided for the welcome drinks or recovery day bbq?
Unfortunately not but see note above about taxis. Do also let us know if you want to carpool, we can try and connect people!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unless agreed with us before hand, unfortunately not as our numbers are limited by the death like grip Craig has on the wedding budget excel sheet.
