Are you ready for this totally unique, never heard of love story....Stephen and Paola met...on an app :)

We met when I (Paola) was planning to move to Seattle and Stephen (me) was there on a work trip. Of course when you are planning to move to a new city, you have to check out the sites before you decide it is worth the move...so I opened Bumble.

And, of course, when you're staying over the weekend between meetings in Seattle and Anchorage, checking out the local Bumble scene is obviously one way to pass the time when surrounded by two phenomenal national parks.

What can I say-the beard and the Christmas suit was worth the swipe!

and, surprising, Seattle Bumble in the winter was full of instagram-worthy winery and vineyard profiles with giant summery hats --- of which she had no shortage --- but, thankfully, she also had these amazing photos of her climbing Mt. Adams.... so, she had me at "snowy adventures"

Lucky for both of us, Seattle did not pan out... so fast forward a month to February 2020 and we finally met up over a game of skeeball at Punchbowl Social....I won (did she?) ...no contest (wasn't it?)... and then, by our third date, the governor of Virginia determined that we were exclusive.

New love has a unique way of making everything beautiful -- while we locked down together and saw the world tackle unimaginable hardships and crippling division, we also saw our beautiful planet through a very colorful sprinter van, we grew closer in our beliefs and supported for each other, we ate our way through NYC and decided why not lock down in even tighter spaces with a 350 sq ft studio on 5th Ave (with Susie and our new puppy-ball of energy and emotion, Indiana), and then returned to Graceland and make it a home (our big-top circus tent, for now). And, when the world re-opened, we traveled to show each other our international homes and cultures.

Like I said...totally unique right?

The best part of our journey has been our friends and family. While we could not meet everyone right away... we had to really trust that each other actually had friends... we have been blessed to share so many new and revived memories since 2020 (sok kicsi sokra megy... or, in this case, a lot of our little experiences and adventures have added up to a lot of life these past years…. especially Isabella!!).

Now, the best awaits - creating new memories by celebrating the future with everyone we love in Mallorca... oh yea, and saying I Do!
