The Market takes place every Saturday, May through October, from 8 a.m. – Noon in the Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines. It supports hundreds of vendors from across the state of Iowa who offer locally grown produce, seasonal flowers, farm fresh eggs and cheese, fresh baked goods, locally produced wine, Iowa-raised meat and more.
Blank Park Zoo is a 49-acre zoological park on the south side of Des Moines, Iowa, United States, near historic Fort Des Moines. The zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and is the only accredited zoo in Iowa. Open Daily, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. $20 adults, $15 children.
