Kevin's Story: Patricia and I met in January of 2017, although she won’t admit to that. We didn’t talk much during January and we thought nothing of it as we did not think we would see each other again. Fate seemed to have a different plan though as the trainer for Thoroughbred’s AMC transition suddenly backed out. Patricia was already helping transition another Carmike theatre to AMC, and was having a rough week of migraines. She was asked to become the trainer for Thoroughbred. Patricia could have easily explained what she was going through and turned it down, but instead she decided to take on this responsibility. Neither of us knew it but that decision and bravery would change both of our lives forever. We spent almost every day together over the next 10 days and got to know so much about each other that we decided to give long distance a shot. Over the next year we both constantly travelled between Dallas and Nashville to see each other until I decided to move to Dallas to be with her and her two amazing kids Dresden and Ally, and Annabelle!

They both played the clarinet and went to different high schools in Arlington. They both always auditioned for all city and all region bands, and ended up within chairs of each other.

Patricia's sister and best friend from Kennedale, TX. Annie is an RN, and is mom to two beautiful girls, one who is Savannah, one of our flower girls! Annie and Tricia have been through so much together, but if it wasn't for that, their relationship wouldn't be as strong as it is today!

Patricia's sister from Arlington, TX. She unfortunately will not be at our wedding due to being stationed overseas for a year proudly serving our country. Thank you for your service, Steffi! Be safe, we love you and miss you!

Patricia’s best friend/family from Cross Roads, TX. Michayla is Annie's sister in law. Annie did an escape room event with all of her sisters/in laws, and this is where Michayla and Tricia hit it off!

Patricia's best friend from Hurst, TX. Michael and Patricia met while working for AMC Theatres. Patricia jokes the first time they spoke, Patricia was 9 months pregnant with Ally, and Michael stopped by to pick up some stock, and Michael was expecting Patricia to pick it up! 😂 I looked at him like are you crazy?! But after that, we really became close friends when Patricia got her promotion to General Manager in 2013, and Michael was like mentor to her.

Patricia's daughter. Ally is in 4th grade, and into everything your typical 10 year old is in. She enjoys dancing, getting her nails done with her mom, TikTok and YouTube!

Kevin's best friend from Nashville, TN. Valair and Kevin met while working at Carmike Cinemas together. Valair and Kevin love to talk soccer, especially Nashville SC! Valair works for them and is a part of The Roadies, one of the biggest support groups for the NSC.

Patricia's son. Dresden is in 6th grade, learning to play trumpet, into video games and to this day admits he loves his momma! She hopes that never comes to an end as he enters his teenage years. Kevin and Dresden share their love of sports and video games together.

Patricia's MOH's son from Omaha, NE. Beth’s son, Cassie's nephew. Tricia's favorite memory with Gavin is when she flew to Seattle to surprise Beth and meet Gavin, he was just a few weeks old! Such a sweet and handsome boy! And still is! He is currently practicing his golf swings, hoping to be a pro one day!

Patricia's niece from Kennedale, TX. One of Annie's daughters. She's 2.5 years old, and loves her horses, Cocomelon, helping in the kitchen, hugging her sister Presley, and walking Annabelle around her house with a leash on. It's the cutest thing ever!

The Opry remains the platform that connects artists and fans to the music they love. The Opry House is the place where artists and performers gather, and a place many call home. We invite guests to walk with the stars and legends on a backstage tour that tells the stories of country music, the stars, and the stage that’s home to the unbroken Circle.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, located in downtown Nashville, has been called the “Smithsonian of country music,” celebrated for its broad cultural impact, educational mission, and unrivaled collection of historically important artifacts. Launched in 1967 on Nashville’s Music Row, the museum opened its current downtown location in 2001, and in 2014, unveiled a $100 million expansion that doubled its footprint. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum now includes 350,000 square feet of dynamic galleries, archival storage, retail stores, and event space, along with classrooms in the Taylor Swift Education Center, and performance space in the CMA Theater and Ford Theater, which regularly host nationally recognized live music and cultural events.

Nashville wasn’t always home to the capitol. Previously, it had been moved around from Knoxville to Murfreesboro and even Kingston. Nashville eventually became its final destination. This is the oldest working statehouse of all 50 states in America.

The Parthenon in Nashville is the world’s only exact-size and detail replica of the original temple in Athens, Greece. When Tennessee celebrated its 100th year of statehood with the Tennessee Centennial Exposition, Nashville took advantage of its nickname “Athens of the South” and built the Fine Art Building as a copy of Athens’ most famous building and the epitome of Greek classical architecture. Although built to be temporary, as were all the buildings of the Centennial, the Parthenon crystallized for Nashvillians their image of themselves and their city and they were loathe to tear it down at the conclusion of the exposition. The exterior coating, sculpture and decorative work were made of plaster and soon deteriorated. Repeated patching kept destruction at bay for several years, but in 1920 the city was forced to a permanent solution: tear it down or rebuild it in lasting materials. The decision to rebuild involved local architect Russell Hart and, as consultant, architectural historian William Bell Dinsmoor. The roof, expanded walls and load-bearing columns were made of reinforced concrete, the novel new building material of the twentieth century; the brick walls and non load-bearing columns of the 1897 building were retained and incorporated into the new construction. For the permanent surface treatment Hart selected a cast concrete aggregate, using a formula developed by John Earley of Washington, DC. This material was used for all exterior surfaces as well as the roof tiles, decorative work and sculpture. The firm of Foster and Creighton were the general contractors for the rebuilding. Sculptor George Julian Zolnay, who had created the pedimental sculptures on the 1897 Parthenon, returned to make the metopes of the Doric frieze. Nashville sculptor Belle Kinney and her Austrian-born husband Leopold Scholz were hired to create the permanent pediment figures. To assist them in creating figures as close to the original as possible, the Park Board purchased from the Victoria and Albert Museum a set of casts of the original marble fragments. Work on the exterior of the building was completed by 1925. The Parthenon built for the Centennial was not a replica on the inside; its interior was a series of galleries for exhibiting the enormous collection of paintings and sculptures borrowed from Europe and throughout the United States for the Exposition. The permanent structure, however, was to be a compete replica and as accurate as scholarship would allow, recreating the camber of the horizontal lines, the inclination of columns and walls and the entasis of the columns. Due to various financial crises, work continued haltingly until its completion in 1931. When the doors were opened to the public, two major elements were still missing: the great statue of Athena in the naos and the Ionic frieze on the exterior. Donations for the Athena accumulated over the years and in 1982 the Park Board commissioned Nashville sculptor Alan LeQuire to recreate the 42ft statue for the interior. This monumental task took almost eight years. The statue was finally unveiled on May 20, 1990, generating much excitement and a renewal of interest in the Nashville Parthenon as an icon of the city. Additional money was raised during the next 12 years, and in 2002 the statue was finally completed with gilding and painting.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a zoological garden and historic plantation farmhouse located 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of Downtown Nashville. As of 2014, the zoo was middle Tennessee's top paid attraction and contained 6,230 individual animals, encompassing 339 species. The zoo's site is approximately 188 acres (76 ha) in size. It is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Radnor Lake State Park is a 1,368-acre park and is protected as a Class II Natural Area. It is unique due to the abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities, environmental education programs, hiking opportunities, and its location in an urban area. The park is day-use only and the 7.75-miles of trail are strictly used for hiking, photography, and wildlife observation. Pets, jogging, and bicycles are only allowed on the Otter Creek Road trail. The Lake Trail is accessible to people with all-terrain wheelchairs.
