Patrick and I met at Concordia University Nebraska. My friend Molly and I were playing ping pong when three freshmen guys walked in pretending to be seniors (one of them being Patrick). Both of us were a little gullible but in the end, we figured it out and had a good laugh. The same night I ran into Patrick again at evening prayer and as we started talking, we both found out we were both LCMS Lutheran. We continued to run into each other both at playing ping pong and at Swing Dance Club. However, it was after one evening at Swing Dance Club when Molly got a concussion that we really started hanging out. We were asking her questions to keep her awake and responsive. We asked her questions about the plot line of her favorite movie Tinker Bell, but she refused to answer because she didn't want to spoil it for anyone. It was at that point that Patrick as a great friend promised to watch all the Tinker Bell movies with Molly and I. And he did. We grew to be good friends throughout the rest of the semester and during Christmas break we continued to keep in touch. About two weeks after we came back to school, he asked me out for ice cream at Dairy Queen. And a few days later he asked me to be his girlfriend. We dated for a little over a year and a half before he proposed to me at Yellowstone National Park on August 10, when my family went to visit his family up in Cody, Wy.
