Patti and Gary met like any modern 21st century couple…looking for love on Hinge. They matched on the app, and hit it off right away. Gary kept Patti laughing with his wit and charm as they exchanged messages in the ensuing days, and Patti kept Gary on his toes with her intellect and confidence. After she made sure that he wasn’t a serial killer, she took a chance and asked him to meet for drinks. Their first date was on March 3, 2022 at Dorchester Brewing. The conversation flowed easily as they whiled away the hours getting to know each other. Before they knew it they were closing down the bar and making plans for their second date.

As the months wore on, Patti and Gary spent more and more time together. Their weekends were spent enjoying cookouts and beach days, trips to Chicago and Vermont, and bonding over their mutual appreciation for movie marathons and reality TV. They immediately felt at home with each other's friends and families, and their connection continued to grow stronger. They moved in together in March 2023.

Growing up, they each spent time on Cape Cod with their families. Days at the beach and fried seafood dinners at Kream ‘N Kone created lasting memories that make the Cape a special place for both of them. In need of a weekend away, they headed down the Cape on November 11, 2023. They were walking along Lighthouse Beach as the sun began to set when Gary stopped Patti to take in the pink and purple hues. He got down on one knee and she said yes…but if you’re reading this, you probably figured that part out ;)
