Where will the day’s events take place?
Getting married at Chatham Bars Inn is our dream come true! Everything will take place at the resort’s oceanside venues, located across the street from the Main Inn, on the east side of Shore Road. Head to the Boathouse Lawn when you arrive at the inn to settle into your seat for the ceremony. The cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will take place at the adjacent venues, the Boathouse and the Beach House.
Is there a dress code?
Beach Cocktail, a balance between elegant and comfortable. And don’t forget to check the weather, May can be fickle so please plan accordingly.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting). Dinner and dancing will be inside at the Beach House, a beautiful space with an open porch, providing us with views of the ocean all night long.
How can I RSVP?
Invited guests are encouraged to RSVP right here on our wedding website. An RSVP tab will be available in the main menu once we’re ready to start accepting RSVPs.
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP no later than April 21, 2024.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, no. Our vision for the day is to be surrounded by our closest friends and family. Even if you don’t know anyone, we promise that you’ll quickly fit in with the crowd.
Are my kids welcome to attend the wedding festivities?
We love your children, but unfortunately we cannot host them at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
Is there a room block at Chatham Bars Inn or other area hotels?
We have set up a room block at CBI and three other area hotels, all within a mile and a half. Check out the Where to Stay tab for more info.
I’m not staying at Chatham Bars Inn. Are you providing transportation to other area hotels?
We want you to have an amazing time at our wedding, and are excited that you’ll be staying in the area overnight! In addition to Uber and Lyft, several cab companies service the Chatham area. We highly encourage you to use these services to get to and from your accommodations.
Where should I park at the Chatham Bars Inn?
Complimentary self-parking is available for all wedding guests in the Beach House lot on the east side of Shore Road.
Chatham Bars Inn also offers complimentary valet parking at the Main Inn. From Shore Road, take Sea View Street and turn left onto Kettle Drum Lane. Take your first left into the valet circle behind the main inn. Once parked, you will head through the Main Inn and across the street to the Beach House for all of the day’s festivities!
What time should I arrive for your wedding ceremony?
The ceremony will start at 4:00 pm sharp. We welcome you to arrive at 3:30 pm. Please make sure to leave plenty of time to park and make your way to the Boathouse Lawn (if you choose to valet, it could take 5-10 minutes to get from your car to the ceremony location).
Is the space handicap accessible?
Yes! We recommend parking in the Beach House parking lot on Shore Road for easy access to the ceremony and reception spaces.
What type of food will be served?
We’ll be serving hor d’oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. Please reach out with any dietary restrictions or allergies so that we can accommodate your needs.
Will there be an open bar?
In addition to non-alcoholic options, we will have a wide selection of wine and beer, plus two signature cocktails available throughout the evening.
