In 1996, a boy named Pappy moved to ATL. Legend has it that this wasn’t just any move—it was a decision made by lil P himself, somehow knowing deep down that his future wife would soon be born in this very city.

Their lives intertwined from the very beginning—they knew of each other, grew up in the same circles, attended the same events, and even went to the same church. But how much did they actually interact in those early years? That remains a bit of a mystery. One thing’s for sure, though—Pappy definitely had his eye on Sydney from the start (how could he not?! She was a natural-born baddie).

Years passed, and both Pappy and Sydney found themselves at the University of Georgia. Sydney, the smart, beautiful, and slightly nerdy girl, and Pappy, the charming, athletic, and party-loving guy, couldn’t have been more different. Their paths never quite crossed—until the summer of 2018.

Out of the blue, Pappy called Sydney to invite her to some KNA youth events in Atlanta. She told her bestie, Fiona, and they started a groupchat that mostly consisted of Syd flaming Pappy and Pappy subtly flirting with Syd. That was it. The foundation of their relationship had begun.

When they got back to UGA in the fall, Pappy asked Sydney out, and, like the gentleman he is, he wined and dined her at Taqueria del Sol followed by Cookout (cause who doesn't love a good milkshake to end date night?!).

Sydney didn’t stand a chance. From that moment on, she got got, and soon enough, they were inseparable. But Pappy, true to his slow-and-steady style, took his sweet time before officially asking her to be his girl—eight months, to be exact. And when he did? It was nothing short of magical. Pappy took her to NYC, brought her to the top of the Empire State Building, and asked her to be his girlfriend.

The next 7 years weren’t easy—there was a lot of long distance between them. But no amount of distance could stand in the way of the love they were building. Fast forward to June 2024, when Pappy took Sydney to a rooftop just steps away from the Empire State Building. This time, he wasn’t asking her to be his girlfriend... he was finally asking her to be his WIFEYYYY! 💍
