Spend a day exploring the early days of Alberta life.
Day trip. 1 hour away from our home. This must be booked well in advance, but a lovely day trip which we highly recommend if you have the time
2.5 hours from our home. Seriously a cool place to visit especially if you're into dinosaurs. The museum has many fossils, skeletons and the like that were all found in this river valley. There are local campgrounds and hotels if you want to stay a night or two.
Camping and cabins. About an hour from our home. Nice lake and beach. Great for kids and family oriented
The eighth wonder of the world! Indoor ice skating rink, bowling, waterpark, restaurants, roller coaster and midway rides. All indoors. All in a multilevel mall. Plan to spend at least a day here depending on what you want to do. about 90 mins from our home.
2.5 hour drive from our home. Spend at least a day here. More if you can and pair it with a drive out to Lake Louise
Beautiful views and hikes. Make sure you have a lot of time to soak in this area. It's absolutely breathtaking! You can stay in Canmore or Banff and easily take some time to come here as well.
This little summer town is 20 minutes from our home. We HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Neighboring our wedding venue. Nice for a walk on the paths by the river or having an ice cream. Playground for the kids.

Downtown Calgary. Park on the outskirts of the city and take the C-Train downtown to see the tower and take in the sites, parks and restaurants.
Science center. Right by the Calgary Zoo. We would recommend a day for the zoo and a day for the science center if you want to make the most out of these two activities.
