Warwick is a small town located 15-20 minutes away from the Appalachian Hotel. The town has some fun shops and restaurants and makes for a nice day trip. This is especially true during the Fall when the area is known for apple picking and other fall activities.

High Point State Park is a large state park located in Sussex, NJ. Outside of hiking trails and several small lakes, the park features the High Point Monument. The High Point Monument sits on the summit of the Kittatinny Ridge, the highest point in New Jersey, and offers stunning views of the surrounding area.
