Day Trip to Venice

Without much explanation Venice is certainly a must see town and a day trip recommendation if you do not plan on flying in there for the weekend. From the Gondolas, to Murano Glass Blowing, there is plenty to see in Venice for one day. The best view in town can be found at "T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi", an unusual store in the center of the city adjacent to the Rialto Bridge where the top floor has a rooftop viewing deck (make sure to plan your reservation beforehand).
