What started off as merely a companionship, would eventually grow into a relationship that is rooted in the gospel of Christ.

As fickle as feelings can be, Payton started to feel an attraction to Francescos character and zeal for the Lord in the late summer of 2022. These feelings would come and go for a few months and Payton sought the Lord to take the feelings away, because she was not looking to start a relationship. Francesco at this time did not have the same feelings and did not desire a relationship with Payton but would slowly feel a pull towards her.

In the beginning of 2023, the feelings Payton had towards Francesco would grow stronger and not fade as before. Francesco had started feeling drawn to Payton more and more. Payton, being antsy, impatient, and bold decided to reveal her feelings to Francesco. On January 29th 2023, after a young adult event held at his house, Francesco suggested going on a walk at Wantagh Park with whoever was still at his house. Thinking nothing of telling Francesco that day, Payton thought it was a fun idea. Naturally, Payton and Francesco were the fast walkers of the group and spent the whole time walking and talking together. At one point there was an awkward silence and Payton decided to go for it and tell Francesco how she felt. Fearing rejection but hoping for the best, Francesco responded promptly by telling Payton he felt the same way. A couple of weeks after on February 8th 2023, Payton and Francesco would go on their first date and from there their relationship would continue to grow and culminate into a desire to be married.

On Christmas Day of 2023, Francesco would propose to Payton and she would joyously accept. As they continue to mature and grow, they eagerly await the day when they become husband and wife. All to the glory of God!
