Lorena has known Leah for a decade and was the inspiration for Leah to become a teacher! Lorena has been married to Leah’s older brother, Blake, since 2021 but was loved by the bride as an older sister well before then.

Miranda and Leah have been best friends since middle school and were blessed enough to end up as college roommates. They have been by each other’s sides through thick and thin for almost a decade and will continue to be inseparable for the rest of their lives.

Having met in college, Emily and Leah went through their education degree in the same cohort and shared many student teaching placements. Emily’s bottomless passion and enthusiasm have always been encouraging to those around her!

Marissa and Leah went through the same education program together. Always armed with fun ideas and cute outfits, Marissa is one of the craftiest and patient people ever and is always fun to be around!

Isabella and Leah were in the same education pathway together at UGA and even had their first placement together in a pre-K classroom. Isabella’s witty humor and effortless elegance brighten up any room she walks into!

Having known each other since middle school, Sarah and Leah grew close over their shared love for coffee and Bible studies. Sarah’s bubbly personality and limitless energy have never failed to make others (especially Leah) smile!

Anna Grace is Phillip’s younger cousin who is always full of light and ready to have fun. Our wedding wouldn’t be complete without her! She has done us the honor of being a junior bridesmaid!

David and Phillip have known each other for 6 years and met in college at RUF. He and Phillip became close during their time at Mercer and shared many memories together. One of Phillip’s favorites is telling people that David “hated him” when they first met (This statement was untrue).

Will and Phillip met on Raccoon Island in the middle of Lake Hartwell during a summer youth event. They quickly hit it off talking about video games and tv shows they had in common. From that small island their friendship continued to grow as they spent more time together at church and other youth events. From there the two began to play board games together as they discussed the casual things in life!

Royce and Phillip met through a mutual friend while playing video games. Royce brought Phillip into their friend group that began playing games together everyday. Royce and Phillip would hang out often and talk about life as one does their freshman year. When Phillip went to visit his friends in Tennessee he was grateful to finally meet this old friend in person.

Tyler and Phillip met through mutual friends playing video games in 2020. They immediately became good friends through their shared interest in gaming and anime. Over the year Tyler has become the person that Phillip has played the most games with and even spent a week staying with Tyler as they celebrated another friends wedding.

Dean and Phillip met this past year when Phillip was hired as the second youth intern at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens. Dean and Phillip work closely with each other with the youth and have fun doing it. They love competing in different sporting events like pickleball and can often be heard saying “That’ll preach” after a random Biblical quote.

Tyler and Phillip met playing video games when Phillip was in high school. They would play together everyday for several years and would laugh and cry with each other. Tyler even made the trip all the way from Oklahoma to watch Phillip graduate high school. Phillip returned the favor by being a groomsman in Tyler’s wedding.

The traditional “something blue” for our wedding is being represented by two amazing members of our family. Phillip’s older brother, Devin Dekle, and his beautiful wife Kaitlyn Dekle wear blue in order to represent the traditional wishes of love and happiness for our marriage! 🩵

Younger cousin of the groom, Wren is quite possibly one of the cutest baby girls to ever exist! Loved dearly by all those who know her, Wren is a bundle of joy whom we are so blessed to have as our flower girl on our special day! 🩷
