Lake Charles has a small regional airport that makes flying directly into Lake Charles easy and affordable. Since it's a small airport, there are only two airlines, United and American, that fly into LCH.
Please note that although the airport is small, you still need to arrive at least 1 hour before your flight if you have checked luggage. The same person works both the check-in counter and gate so if you arrive too late you won't be able to check in your luggage and may miss your flight.
Another good option is to fly into Lafayette and drive to Lake Charles, around 1.5 hours. LFT is also a smaller regional airport, but has more airline options.
Houston is about a 3-3.5 hour drive from Lake Charles and has two large airports, IAH and Houston-Hobby. Both airports have several options of airlines and rental cars.
There are several options for places to stay for those traveling including nearby hotels and rentals like Airbnb or Vrbo. Below are a few nearby hotel recommendations.

Lake Charles isn't an overly large town, but you will need to drive most places. There are taxis and rideshare like Uber/Lyft are available, but most will likely find it more convenient to have your own car. Traditional car rental companies, as well as Turo, are available in the area. Most are located at the Lake Charles airport (LCH).
