How We Met

Pierce and Sabrea first met in college at Mizzou in 2017. They caught each other's eye during a summer research internship getaway at the Lake of the Ozarks. They bonded over their love of music, Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter, and cheesy pizza. Soon after, they watched the Solar Eclipse together, marking the beginning of a love story written in the stars.

Making Memories

During their post-college life together, they traveled around the country. Some of their favorite memories included hiking to the peak of Mt LeConte, chasing sand crabs at night in PCB, sliding down the mountain from Sky Pond in Estes Park (Allons-y!), climbing the Ramsey Cascades, tasting beignets at Café Du Monde, and cruising around the Caribbean.

Before long, they adopted a zoo of animals, including a new dog Artemis. True to her name, she is a wildly fun companion to their other dog, Percy and cat, Violet.

The Proposal

The couple arrived in City Park New Orleans, the afternoon before a cruise to Mexico. After stopping for beignets, they walked around the park exploring the landscape. Pierce quietly panicked, as all the "spots" he picked out for the proposal were either closed or crowded. Fate led them to the storybook Langles Bridge overlooking the cypress trees. At sunset, Pierce proposed and Sabrea exclaimed, "Yes, duh!", Pierce laughed, finding her excitement adorable, and the rest is history.

After 7 years together, we can't wait to celebrate with all of you on October 5th!
