Piper and Kai’s love story began unexpectedly on Tinder. While Piper was a student at DePauw University, Kai happened to match with her during a brief visit to Indianapolis. Normally, neither of them would message first, but Kai felt something special and decided to reach out.

Just days after they started talking, COVID forced Piper to return home to Logansport, putting hours between them. Despite the distance, they stayed connected through frequent FaceTime calls, where their bond grew effortlessly. Their first in-person meeting came when Kai drove to Piper’s hometown, feeling nervous, but trusting his instincts. The moment they first saw each other, their nerves vanished, and what began as curiosity quickly became love. Of course, the rest is history.

Together, they’ve adopted their loving pitbull, Knox, who makes their hearts complete. His mom and dad love his squishy face more than he’ll ever know.
