The Maiyan ceremony is a preparation ceremony that takes place a day before the wedding ceremony. Both the bride and groom traditionally participate in this ceremony in their own homes with their families, but we will be having a joint ceremony. During this time, friends and family will also have the opportunity to have mehndi (henna) applied on their hands. The Jaggo is a fun night of dancing with family and friends. It is a celebration of the wedding to come and is similar to a reception.

The Anand Karaj is the religious ceremony in Sikh custom joining the bride and groom. Guests will be required to take seats on the carpeted floor, if able, for this event. Chairs will be provided for those with medical needs.
