It all started out in 2016, Rachael had just taken a new job. Within the first month of working, she got introduced to another new employee, Ben... However, this love story didn't start upon them first locking eyes. Rachael was in a relationship and Ben was navigating the working and dating world.
The first relationship they had was a friendship. The moment that exemplified this bond was Ben's ability to stir up a mob against him. Rachael and another coworker Lucy walked into the office together one fine morning in the Fall. In the 5 seconds of friendly greetings with other coworkers, Ben called out aloud "You know what I hate, when people wear scarves indoors..." As luck would have it, Rachael and Lucy both were wearing such scarves. Like a magnet, Ben could find trouble too easily. He rightfully received some very strong language thrown his way that day. The jovial yet combative nature of Rachael & Ben made them easy friends. Fast forward a year later and Ben had left the company. They kept in contact as friends to check in, hear about work, and rehash wounds from past clients. However, as the years started to stack, they didn't stay in touch.
Until.. the fateful night in 2019 in Stamford. Rachael was out with friends—as was Ben. Ben was just about to call for an Uber to head home when all of sudden he saw Rachael walk by. As he yelled out for her, she turned in surprise to see him. After snapping a picture and catching up quickly, Rachael invited Ben and his friends to join her friends. That was when the stars aligned and they realized how much they enjoyed the other.
After the first date, they knew they wanted to be together. Once they got through year one, which included layoffs, late night phone calls, global disasters, travel, and loss, they knew what they had was real. So after 2 years of being together, they bought their very first home in the lovely Milford, CT. Once they had the house, the next logical thing to do was get a dog... Insert Charley, the most excited, lovable dog you'll ever meet. Been away for 8 hours? She'll pounce and wag her tail so hard in excitement it'll be like you've returned from war. Picked up a quick coffee and came right back? Yep, you guessed it, pounce and wag. The three of them make for a crew that's always getting into some sort of adventure.
As another year went, the love grew, the experiences, the laughs, and the good times. Life became.. life. That's why the evolution of this love story is going to bring us all together on 8.16.24.
We can't wait to celebrate this big day with you.
Love,
The Future Wibly's
That fateful night in stamford... <3
