Canmore Accommodation
Canmore accommodation tends to be a little bit cheaper than Banff, but that is not always the case. Canmore has more options for "apartment or condo" rentals. If you are planning to travel with other guests attending the wedding this might be a way to save money on accommodation. Air BnB would be a great tool to find houses/apartments for rent.

Air BNB
AirBnB's a great way to stay in Canmore for a longer time period with cheaper rates than the cost of a hotel room. The Town of Canmore has certain areas in town that are zoned for Air Bnb's. Banff is not zoned for Air BnB's but does have registered BNBs.
