What to Expect at the Ceremony

Our wedding ceremony will be a traditional Catholic Mass. It includes readings from Scripture, a homily (short sermon), prayers, and the celebration of the Eucharist (Communion). While only practicing Catholics receive Communion, all guests are invited to remain seated or come forward for a blessing—whatever you feel most comfortable with. There will be moments of standing, sitting, and kneeling, but please don’t worry if you’re unfamiliar with the customs.
