Andrew and Rachel met a few weeks before starting law school at a mutual friend's apartment. They hit it off right away, talking about music, sports, and politics. Then, a Justin Timberlake song played and Andrew commented on how much he loves Justin Timberlake - and the rest is history! Andrew asked Rachel out the day they met and they started dating soon after.

Andrew and Rachel were on vacation in California, staying across the street from Lover's Point in Pacific Grove. Lover's Point is one of the only places on the West Coast where you can watch the sunrise above the shore, so they decided to wake up early and watch the sunrise. After watching the beautiful sunrise they took a walk along the beach, when Andrew got down on one knee and asked Rachel to marry him.
