Post college graduation, Rachel and Trent went to their weekly Sunday 4:30pm mass at Mary Queen Catholic Church back in their mutual hometown of Friendswood, Texas. Fresh into the workforce and official adulthood, Trent went to mass with his dad, while Rachel went with her little sister.

Now, Trent and Rachel knew of each other back in high school, as at one point, they were both in the Mighty Mustang Band at Friendswood High School, where Trent played the euphonium and Rachel played the French horn. Despite being in the same band and having mutual friends, they never spoke with each other.

Fast forward 7 years and now they are found here in the church pews, waiting for God to nudge their paths in each other's direction.

Rachel sat in her normal spot in the church when she noticed someone sitting in front of her. Now, if you are not Catholic, there is this part of a Catholic mass where you turn to the people around you, shake their hand, and say "peace be with you." I bet you can guess what happened next and the rest was history. They soon later went on their first official date to get coffee and walk around their hometown park.

Over a year later, Trent recreated this first date and proposed to Rachel under the gazebo in the center of the park. The proposal setup included a hand written love letter and a rosary Trent and Rachel had gotten from their backpacking trip to the Vatican. The gazebo on the invitations you received is modelled after this infamous gazebo, and the rosary Rachel will carry on her bouquet on their wedding day is the same rosary from their proposal and adventures. Here's to many more years filled with love and adventure, Trent and Rachel!
