If you prefer to stay elsewhere, there are other hotels, Airbnb's and Vrbo's on the island. There are two sides of the island. We will be staying on the West side of the island closest to Forio. Most events will also be taking place on this side of the island so I would recommend staying on this side. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

From Rome, you will take the train to Naples. From Naples or Amalfi to Ischia

From Naples or Amalfi to Ischia, you will take the ferry. Upon arriving in Naples, take a taxi to Port Molo Beverello, where you take a ferry to Porto di Forio. The taxi should be a fixed rate of 24 euro, please ask the taxi before you get in. The Forio Port is much closer to the hotel, so we recommend taking the ferry here.The hotel also provides transportation from the Forio Port on a first come first served basis. Please contact the hotel to see if they can accommodate a shuttle.You will need to find your own transportation from the Porto D'Ischia, which is on the other side of the island and can be expensive. From Ischia back to Naples

If you are flying out of Naples, please look at the ferry schedule BEFORE you book your flight. Depending on the day you leave, the ferry from Forio to Naples have different departure times. They may not be as early as you think. Some are 6:15AM while other days they do not leave until 9:15AM. You want to make sure you are giving yourself enough time to get from the port to the airport for your flight. If you don't check this, you may have to stay in Naples the night before your flight.

Travel

Hotel Shuttle

We recommend using the hotels free shuttle service. The shuttle runs from 9:00AM - 7:00PM. You should schedule them the morning of or day before to ensure you get the time you want. The hotel shuttle provides 4 stops throughout Forio (Spiaggia della Chiaia, Forio Port, Spiaggia di Citara, and Forio Center). This will give you access to a lot of things on this website. You can use the shuttle stops as starting points and walk to a destination, but please note that the island is very hilly.

Taxis

Taxis are always available on the island and the hotel can always help you coordinate one. We found that taxis are about 30 to 45 euro each way. They fit 6-8 people in each so you could coordinate with friends to get a taxi to and from anything you would like to do. If you would like to enjoy dinner out, you could always take a shuttle into town and get a taxi home.

Buses

There are also options to take the bus to different parts of the island which is the most cost effective way. You can buy tickets in bars, tobacconists, newsagents, travel agencies, and some hotels. You can also buy tickets on the buses from the driver but you do pay a little bit extra to do so. Single ticket can be 1.70 euro to 2.20 euro depending on where it is bought, all day ticket 5.10 euro, three day ticket 11 euro, and one week ticket 14.50 euro. There is a bus stop outside of the hotel.*We did not use the buses, so you can ask the hotel more information on this if needed*

Car or Vespa Rental

There are options to rent cars or vespas on the island. There is parking at the hotel if you choose this option. We did not know the Italian street signs, so did not opt for this. They can drive pretty crazy.

Towns on The Island

Forio

The town we will be closest to and the hotel shuttle provides free service to. This is the largest and most populated towns on the island. It is filled with museums, bars, restaurants, and beaches.

Lacco Ameno

Lacco Ameno is the smallest town in Ischia. It is a fisherman's village with seaside dining, a waterfront promenade, shops, restaurants, and the cutest main square.

Sant'Angelo

Sant'Angelo is the most famous and picturesque village on the island of Ischia. It is about 10-15 minutes away depending on where you are going and accessible by taxi or bus. This area has seaside dining, hikes from Fontana to Mount Epomeo, beaches, beach clubs, and more.

Getting Around The Island

Rachel and Danny will be arriving on Sunday 05/17/2026 and leaving Sunday 05/24/2026.&nbsp; Feel free to make reservations for anywhere we are going throughout the week. If I can, I will try and call and see if we can be seated together, but if not, at least we will be in the same town on the island and together in the same place.

Sunday

Danny and Rachel arrive. We plan to relax and unpack.5:00PM: Dinner at Bagno Teresa for their “Sunday Bloody Mary”, an aperitif on the beach on Sundays with an international DJ set and live music, starting from 5pm and carrying on till late.

Monday

Spending the day at Negombo or one of the beaches in Forio.Dinner with immediate family.

Tuesday

We plan to hang out by the pool and welcome guests as they arrive!Dinner at: U'Paravis for sunset, cocktails, and food.

Wednesday

Danny and Rachel will be enjoying a boat day with friends and disembark at 5:00 PM; feel free to meet us in Forio afterward for dinner and drinks.

Thursday

Spending the day at Giardini Poseidon Terme. We will be leaving the hotel early in the morning and arriving back around 3:00PM to get ready.7:00PM: Welcome Dinner at Hotel Paradiso on the pool deck

Friday

WEDDING DAY! Rachel will be getting ready with friends and family throughout the day. Danny will relax by the pool until it’s time to prepare. 4:30 PM: Shuttles will pick guests up in front of the hotel.

Saturday

Breakfast at the hotelFor guests spending Saturday on the island, feel free to meet us at Maronti Beach around 1:00 PM. We’ll be ending the day and the weekend at Rena Beach Club.

Some of these activities and day trips (Giardini La Mortella, Wineries, Castello Argonese, day trip to Positano / Amalfi / Capri) can be coordinated and planned with the hotel for a fixed price.

Giardini Poseidon Terme

Over 20 pools with curative thermal waters, plus private beach &amp; eateries in a large thermal park. The hotels free shuttle will drop you off here. We highly recommend this.

Negombo Thermal Park

Unwind at Negombo Spa on Ischia, set in lush gardens with 13 thermal pools, a private beach, and Mediterranean art. You will need to take a taxi here. This is located near Lacco Ameno which is about 15 minutes away. The taxi will cost around 60 euro round trip.

Giardini Ravino

Botanical garden located 5 minutes from the hotel. The shuttle will take you here.

Giardini la Mortella

Botanical GardenYou will need to take a taxi here. This is located near Lacco Ameno which is about 15 minutes away. You can either Shuttle and take a long walk or take a taxi to this. Spiaggia di Citara

Beach in Forio - close to the hotel. Free shuttle from the hotel. This is right next to Poseidon and other local restaurants and bars. The shuttle drop off is right across from this beach.

The Maronti Beach

Ischia's largest beach located near Sant'Angelo. End the beach day at Rena Beach Club. Need to take a taxi here at about 30 euro each way or bus.

Baia di Sorgeto and Fumarole - Both of these are in Sant'Angelo and accessible by taxi.

Castello Aragonese d'Ischia

Aragonese Castle is a castle built on a small tidal island east of Ischia, at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, Italy. The castle stands on a volcanic rocky islet that connects to the larger island of Ischia by a causeway. This is on the other side of the island and about 35 minutes from the hotel. A taxi here would be about 45 euro each way.

Seasons Lounge Bar & Restaurant

Beach restaurant located near Forio with outdoor seating - sometimes has live music. The shuttle will take you here.

Ristorante Cantine Pietratorcia

This is walking distance from the hotel. The walk is about 12 minutes, a bit hilly and could be a little dark / hard to find at night. But a late night option if you miss the shuttle and don't want to go far. This is an Italian restaurant and winery.

Ristorante Pizzeria Da Ciccio

Casual dining in downtown Forio. The shuttle will take you here.

O’ Pignattello

We ate here during our trip and would 100% recommend it for a nicer meal. It was phenomenal. There are bars and shops on the waterfront area in Lacco Ameno you could have a sunset drink or shop around and then come here for dinner, which is what we did. Located on the main square in Lacco Ameno, this small but elegant restaurant was the first to earn a Michelin star on the island under Chef Libera Iovine. Located 15 minutes north of the hotel and accessible by taxi or bus.

Ristorante Zi'Carmela

A casual pizzeria and restaurant located right in downtown Forio with outdoor and indoor seating. We had a drink here during our trip and the ambiance was great. The shuttle will take you here.

Bar Pasticceria Fratelli Calise

For traditional Italian pastries and gelato, this is the best on the island. The shuttle will take you to Forio Center and this is a 5 minute walk away.

Saturino

A high end Italian restaurant located right on the water near the port of Forio. The shuttle will take you here.

Restaurant Oasis Ischia

A restaurant with panoramic views and live music. Located 5 minutes from the hotel. The shuttle will drop you off here.

Al Vecchio Capannaccio Braceria

Meat dish restaurant located in Forio. The shuttle will take you a 20 minute walk to the restaurant.

Ischia's Classic Dish

Coniglio all’Ischitana - a rustic rabbit dish that is a reflection of Ischia's rural farming history more than its limited fishing industry.

Beach Restaurants & Clubs

Bagno Teresa

Beach front restaurant and bar. Located in Forio. They also have chairs for rent on the beach and looks like they have cocktail service to the beach. The shuttle will take you here.

U' Paravis'

A cliff side restaurant and bar located in Forio. They have chairs you can rent and a staircase leading into the ocean to swim and relax. We came here during our trip and loved it. The views were beautiful and we wish we had spent a few hours here. We walked to the beach and went to Gabbiano for a little after. It was about a 20 minute walk. The shuttle will take you here.

Gabbiano Beach

Cozy beachside restaurant and beach area. You can rent chairs from here to enjoy the day on the beach or have a nice dinner here at night. The shuttle will take you here.

Rena Ischia

Beachside bar and nightclub. Located in Sant'Angelo. Accessible by taxi or bus. I would recommend doing a beach day here and ending at this club.

Fronte Mare

Beach club with DJ located near Lacco Ameno. Accessible by taxi or bus.

Giardino Eden

Our exclusive beach club is ideal for those who seek harmony and relaxation, right in the splendid bay of Cartaromana. This is located on the other side of the island and would be a long drive to get to. If you plan to come here, I would recommend planning your day on this side of the island.

Coco Mare

Offers both the chance to relax in a private beach by the sea as well as an elegant restaurant where you can enjoy some fabulous view. This is located on the other side of the island and would be a long drive to get to. If you plan to come here, I would recommend planning your day on this side of the island.

Cactus Lounge "Secret Aperitif" 

Located in Giardini Ravino, 5 minutes away from the hotel. A cute cocktail garden to lounge in and listen to live music. The shuttle will take you here.
