Q + A

Why Italy?

Rachel's dads side of the family is from Ischia, Italy. Rachel's love for Ischia started when she first visited at 12 years old. Since then, she has visited two other times, and the island holds such a special place in her heart. It is a beautiful island, with minimal tourism, an abundance of thermal baths, and an endless supply of wine. What more could you want? Since the second Danny proposed, he has been set on making this a memorable weekend for all involved. We can't wait to spend the entire weekend making unforgettable memories with family and friends!

Are Kids Allowed?

As much as we love all of your kids, this is an adult only event.

What Is The Dress Code?

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire. Ischia's weather in May ranges from 64°F to 77°F, on average. Please bring light sweaters for your night time events.

Do you need a passport?

Yes, you will need a passport. We recommend you start this process as soon as possible if you don't already have one. The typical processing time is between 6-8 weeks, but this is not guaranteed. There is an expedited option with an additional fee if needed.

Should I have Euros upon arrival?

Yes! I would recommend bringing euros with you. Whether you get them back in the states or at the airport, you should have some euros upon arriving in Italy. Italy is old school and most taxis will not have credit card machines in them. Carry some euros on you so you can travel without worry! Which brings us to our next question...

Should I get euros in the states or when I arrive in Europe?

You can order euros from your bank at home but they could take up to a week to arrive, so plan accordingly. You can also get them at the airport but will most likely pay a higher exchange rate. The last option is to go to an ATM once in Italy, but they aren't always easily accessible.

Paying and tipping in Italy

Credit Card is widely accepted throughout Italy and most credit cards no longer charge foreign transaction fees (please double check yours). When paying, you may be asked if you want to pay in dollars or euros. We recommend paying in euros since local shops or hotels may tack on exchange fees. When you go to a restaurant or coffee shop a tip is not required.
