Our Wedding

Rachel and Tommy matched on Hinge in early December of 2021. They had their first date on December 13th at Puesto, ending with a classic Rachel side hug in the rain, which was good enough to lead to a second date. After the second date at Hennessy's, they knew there was something special between the two of them as they bonded over values, running, and their love for the OC bubble. They officially started dating February 6th, 2022. Tommy then proposed on September 14th, 2024, and we are so excited to start our married life together!

Airbnb is also a great option during the summer in Newport Beach! Many Airbnbs can fit multiple people and are just a few houses away from the beach. We would recommend looking into Airbnbs as they will probably be the best price &amp; location during this time of year!

Newport Beach Pier is about 10 minutes away from Balboa Yacht Club! You can spend the day at the beach, walking or biking around the boardwalk, or just enjoying the view at a restaurant. We love Dory Deli (yummy breakfast burritos), Buona Forchetta (Italian food), Sancho's Tacos (casual Mexican food), and Tru Bowl (acai bowls).

Newport Beach Pier

Fashion Island is about a 5 minute drive from Balboa Yacht Club! You can spend the day walking around the outside mall. Some of our favorite restaurants there include Great Maple, R + D Kitchen, and Cucina Enoteca.

Fashion Island

Lido Marina Village is a trendy outdoor area with some shops and restaurants. Some of our favorite restaurants in this area include Skal Pizza, Malibu Farms, and Bear Flag!

Crystal Cove is about a 15 minute drive along PCH from Balboa Yacht Club! You can relax at the beach or hike in that area as well. The Beachcomber is a beachside restaurant located there and they have delicious beignets.

Crystal Cove State Park

You can take the ferry across from the peninsula to Balboa Island to enjoy some yummy cinnamon rolls from Balboa Island Baking Company or a Balboa Bar (ice cream or banana dipped in chocolate with your choice of topping) from Dad's or Sugar 'n Spice.
