Things to Do

Visit one of LBI's Beautiful Beaches

While you are on the island, you will want to visit any of LBI's beaches. Grab a beach chair and chill for an hour or the day! It still might be a little chilly so be sure to bring a blanket and a warm drink! But believe us, in early September the water may still be warm enough for a dip. Give it a try and enjoy!

Play a round of Mini Golf

A classic LBI activity, try your hand at one of the many local mini-golf courses! Kid-friendly of course, and often located near food, shopping, and ice cream.

Grab an Açai/Smoothie bowl

Playa Bowls

Rachel and Jake's favorite island breakfast, smoothie bowls! Try Playa Bowls, a New Jersey chain with MANY locations. Rachel likes a coconut base with fruity toppings and cacao nibs while Jake prefers classic açai with banana and peanut butter drizzle.

Viking Village, Barnegat Light

A visit to Viking Village in Barnegat Light will take you back in time. Located on the northern tip of the island, there are a bunch of cute shops and with a little something for everyone.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is located at the northern tip of LBI. The lighthouse is commonly referred to as Ol' Barney and has been an island icon for over a hundred years. Visit the park's museum, walk the jetty, stick your toes in the tide pools, hike the (short) nature trail, or if you are feeling up to it, climb up to the top of Ol' Barney for an amazing view!

Bay Village, Beach Haven

Bay Village lies in the heart of the downtown strip in Beach Haven. Here you will find a re-created a 19th century waterfront village with fun shopping, browsing, coffee, mini golf, eating and relishing in all things that are quintessential summertime activities (like fudge and clam chowder!).
