Our Story

Similar to most TV love dramas, we met in highschool. However our romance and love never started as kids. We were friends in school, but each lived separate lives, occasionally going to a football game with our mutual friends.

Our School Days

How It Began

One small snapchat message sparked the love. Rachel was back in town after college and was looking to meet up with some friends. Tyler reached out and they decided to meet up for a night out! Not knowing the romance would spark into a relationship after just a few weeks.

As COVID-19 raged on in the world, we became closer and closer. Enjoying dinner dates from home. We found out we both loved all of the same things, and could finally be our true selves around the other. Our favorite activities were spending the nights gaming and watching anime with each other.

Family Bonding

We began to form bonds with each other's families. From spending days fishing with Rachel's family (and getting royally burnt in the process), playing darts with Tyler's family, and playing the famous game of Aggravation , we became close with each others family and friends.Tyler’s sister quickly bonded with Rachel and the two girls have been inseparable ever since. Not only is Rachel getting a husband, one of her best friends is becoming her sister!

The Proposal

Unknown to Rachel, the plans for this international proposal started months in advance. Tyler had sneakily gone with Gina to find the perfect ring. He kept it a surprise from everyone (even his own sister didn't know!). The day before the trip he suck over to Rachel's parents house to ask them for their blessing, obviously they said yes! And so we took off, ring in pocket, destination PARADISE!

It All Began With Mexico

We arrived in paradise! We spent the first day soaking up all there is to see. Playing in the sand before calling it a night... Little did Rachel know dinner the next night would be the happiest day of her life!

We walked down to dinner, to Rachel's surprise we had the whole pier overlooking the ocean to ourselves! We had our own private waitress, bartender, and chef! The food was amazing and right after dessert Tyler shocked Rachel (Somehow, she still didn't see this coming....). "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and there really is only one way to do that, will you marry me?" and Rachel turned into a mess as she said yes through tears.

SHE SAID YES! 

Privacy? 

Little did we know, we weren't alone! We had some spectators in the bushes! Gina and Kayshia couldn't miss this!

Best Vacation Ever

And now our story begins all over. Making memories as Rachel and Tyler Kris! We can't wait to make even more memories with all of you by our side.

The special bond the bride has with Kayshia (Kaysh for short) was formed through the groom! Meeting a few years ago they had no idea how close they would become. Rising to becoming fast bestfriends, Kayshia is the brides rock. Always there to have fun, support the couple, and make special memories. Through all obstacles Kayshia stuck by the bride and showed her unconditional love. The bride has no idea  what she would do without this wonderful person in her life!

The bride has known Morgan (nicknamed Mo) since birth! Growing up they always called each other cousins and have never left each others side. Never having a fight and always supporting each other. Through all their crazy adventures the bride and Mo have shed many tears and laughs together. Mo has never once made the bride feel judged and always offers the best support. Through thick and thin, Mo will always be one of the brides best friends. 

Morgan Lewellyn

From baby sister to bridesmaid, this woman will forever be known as "Baby" by the bride.  Watching Alissa grow up, the bride and her have had some very special moments together. From travelling around the world to family events, their bond will always run deeper than their blood connection. Alissa understands the bride so well and is always a great support system.  ~Always and Forever~

From childhood nemesis to closer than ever. The bride's sisterhood bond didn’t come from birth. Through growth and maturity, the bride and “Airzy” have become not only sisters but best friends. From a month long stay in Mexico, to crying in each other's arms venting, late night phone calls, Airzy is the one who always is there to listen. If Rachel is ever in a bind Airzy will be her first call. The bride has no idea what she would do without this wise and supportive older sister. ~Always and Forever~

Krista has been in the bride's life since childhood. Being another sister for Rachel, Krista has helped the bride in more ways than she can count. From being able to handle the bride's late night emotional meltdowns, to knowing exactly how to show the bride the party of her life, this lovely woman has done everything under the sun for her. Krista is everything anyone could ever ask for in a sister, friend, and confidant.

Best friends since childhood. Randy is always there for Tyler with a bond since middle school. Confiding in each other and being each other's lifeline during hard times, the groom couldn't think of a better friend to have (even though they would both never admit that, as they love to playfully trash talk each other)   Also ladies get ready, this man is single ;)

Dylan has been the grooms brother-in-law for years now. Always loving and caring about him. Tyler has some amazing memories with Dylan as he has been in his life for over ten years now. Meeting the bride just a few years ago they too have grown close. Rachel can be a pain in his butt sometimes with her stern advice but is always there when he needs support.

Blake and the groom have been close since middle school. Always being one of the "Dads" in the group. Helping with advice and being a go-to emotional support person for the groom. The groom appreciates all the support Blake has provided throughout the years. 

Blake Tunnel

One of the grooms' close friends. From disc golfing to gaming the groom always has a good laugh with this loving friend. Recognized as the first Dad in the group, Brandon has always been there for Tyler with emotional support and helping keep him levelheaded.  The groom is truly thankful for Brandon always having his back.

Otherwise known as Mommacita by the bride, this mother helped support the bride to be the best person she could be. Through overwhelming support and care, Kim has always shown her daughter unconditional love. From being the best shoulder to cry on, driving miles to pick the bride up when she needed her, to laughing at her shenanigans, the bride is so thankful for being blessed with one of the best mothers a girl could have. 

Kimberly Murphy-Teigland

Otherwise known as Daddio, this loving father has always had a special connection with his middle girl. From childhood the bride has always been a daddy's girl. Some of her favorite memories has her Daddio as her partner in crime. The bride is so blessed to have this caring and loving father by her side. She might not carry his last name after this wedding, but he will always have the biggest spot in her heart. 

Richard Teigland

The bond these sisters have has no bounds. Although they haven't always been close, as adults they became major rocks in the brides life. From traveling around the world together to having a drink in local bars, these girls have become a pack. The bride is so lucky to have two beautiful and amazing sisters to help her on her special day.

Words struggle to be enough to express the love the bride and groom both feel for this woman. Her unwavering love, support, and guidance has shaped Tyler into the wonderful man he is today. She is his hero, rock, and one of his best friends. She has always been there no matter the circumstance. From all the laughs, serious advice, and endless love, Gina is all Tyler could ask for in a mother. The bride is so thankful to be gaining this lovely woman as her new Mother-In-Law!

From his first steps, to skating on the ice for hockey, to watching his son walk down the aisle, Steven has watched as his young son grew into a man. Rod stepped up as an extra father figure in the grooms life. He made the choice to love and support the groom as if he was his own. From rounds of golf to amazing clap back humor, Rod knows how to put the biggest smile on everyone's face. The bride and groom are truly grateful for all this man does for them.

In the groom's life for over 10 years now, this amazing woman has become a second mother to the groom. Always being at his late-night hockey games and guiding him to be a better person, Tammy has always shown her love and support for Tyler.

This family has a special place in the hearts of both the bride and groom. Kayshia and Dylan are the best sister/brother-in-law a person could ask for. Their love is overwhelming in the best way. This couple would fight any obstacle for the bride and groom. Their two boys bring even more light to everyone around them. Their smiles and unconditional love make the bride and groom incredibly blessed.

Not sisters by blood but sisters by heart. These two have seen the thick and thin with the groom and have always been there to help pull him through it. Even in Tyler's worst patches these sisters have been willing to pick him up emotionally or for a much-needed Perkin's run. The groom is grateful for having these two lovely ladies in his life.

Brenda and Karl have been a rock in the groom's life. These amazing grandparents have always helped support Tyler with overwhelming love, whenever he is in a pickle these two show him the light and that there is no challenge too big to handle. They have accepted the bride as their own granddaughter and have never waivered their love towards her. The bride and groom truly don't have words to express just how much they love and care for these two. ~Love you always~
