Rachel and Austin met in February 2017 through their mutual friend, Brodie. Soon after, Austin accepted a job offer in Austin, TX and they went their separate ways. A few months later over the July 4th weekend, the two didn’t know it but they were both visiting their families in Florida. Austin invited Rachel to have a beach day with his dad & stepmom in Vero Beach. After that weekend, even though they lived in two different cities, they knew they had something special. After dating long distance for a year, Austin moved back to Houston. In 2019, the two decided to build a house together in Katy, TX where they live now with their pups, Freckles & Cosmo. Every 4th of July weekend they head to Florida to visit both of their families. Last year, on their fourth 4th of July weekend together, Austin surprised Rachel with a weekend getaway to stay at The Breakers, one of Rachel’s favorite spots in Palm Beach. He got down on one knee in the same spot on the beach they had visited a few years prior. Florida, 4th of July and The Breakers will always hold a special place in their heart.
