Matt and Raegan met in the spring of 2021, working at Texas Roadhouse. Raegan was trained by another server who "warned" her about a guy named Matt because she knew he was going to think she was cute. The same coworker reached out to Matt, that same day, about a new girl named Raegan who just started working, knowing they would hit it off... she was right. Matt was not planning on working for the rest of the semester before going home, but after plans changed one Monday, he decided to pick up an extra shift. Raegan was working her first shift, and when Matt walked in the kitchen to clock in, the first thing he saw (and heard) was a new girl drop a tray of glasses. Despite Matt's habits of being silly and goofy, yelling "ohpa" when people typically broke glasses, he silently helped her clean the glass up and start his shift. At the end of the day, Matt stayed 3 hours after missing all the bus routes to take him back to campus just to help Raegan with her closing tasks and ask for her phone number. She said yes and their relationship began.

Their relationship continued to grow throughout the summer as they continued to hang out in and outside of work watching movies, bowling, escape rooms, and getting lots of food (mostly Texas Roadhouse and Chilis). On August 6th, 2021, they made it official. For the next 7 months, they spent many nights together working, going on dates, going to football games, and having movie nights.

They continued their relationship over distance until Matt graduated in December 2022, visiting each other as much as they could for hockey games, football games, holidays, or just because. After graduating, Matt moved to Northwest Arkansas, where Raegan was living and finishing her degree.

Raegan graduated in December 2023, and Matt is currently working as the assistant manager for Enterprise at XNA. They are still doing plenty of movie nights, finding new hobbies together, and are loving and laughing every day. They can't wait to start the rest of their lives together and are looking forward to celebrating with each and every one of you!
