Boti Falls
Thursday, April 3, 2025

A trip to Boti Falls is a great way to experience the beautiful nature Ghana has to offer. It will take approximately 2hrs to get there so bring plenty of water and snacks. In addition to the waterfalls, there’s an opportunity to take 45 minute hike. It is a bit strenuous but worth the adventure. For those who decide they want to go on the hike you’ll need to bring a comfortable pair of shoes. After the hike you can join the rest of us at the waterfalls where we’ll be swimming and enjoying the crisp cool water. Make sure to bring a bathing suit, towel, and possibly a change of clothes.

Art Center/Museum/Makola

Shop for handmade souvenirs at the Art Center Market then right next door emerge yourself in a bit of Ghanian history at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. Finally experience the busy Makola market just down the street. Please wear comfortable shoes because there is a bit of walking throughout this day.
Entrance to the Kwame Mausoleum is 100 cedi. The markets are free to enter but it’s recommended to bring a backpack to make things easier to carry.
Labadi Beach

Every Sunday is beach day in Accra and Labadi Beach is the place to be. It’s a lively area filled with music, dancing, horse back and ATV rides. You may even get to see a man who eats glass. And of course you’ll be able to swim in the ocean then come hangout at our private table right on the beach.
Entrance to the beach is 20 cedi. Drinks or food must be purchased to sit at a table.
Cape Coast

You can’t travel to Ghana and not experience the emotional history of the slave castle. After traveling 3-4hrs up the coast we’ll take a guided tour through the castle to learn about life as a slave before being shipped off to the Americas. Since this will be an all day event please wear comfortable clothing and bring water and snacks. Entrance fee is 50 cedi. Tour guide price TBD.
