Things to Do

World's Fair Park

10 acres Connects: Second Creek Greenway Towering 266 feet above the city’s skyline, the Sunsphere and the Tennessee Amphitheater are the only structures remaining from Knoxville’s hosting of the 1982 World’s Fair. The Park is divided into three sections — a festival lawn, a performance lawn and a lake area. Lush green turf carpets the Park, creating a wonderful landscape for recreation, festivals, and performances. The Court of Flags Fountain’s interactive water play area operates seasonally from March until the end of October. The fountains are favorites for summer-time play and the playground area is open year-round. There are paved walking trails throughout the Park that connect to the Second Creek Greenway, which carves a route down to the riverfront, passing along the edges of the UT campus before connecting with the Neyland Greenway over to Volunteer Landing Park.

Get a true taste of Knoxville's culture and community at Preservation Pub. But enough reading, get down there and find out for yourself. Scruffy City Hall

Scruffy City Hall is adjacent to (and owned by the same family) Preservation Pub and similar in style but with a gothic twist – gothic as in architecture, not the fashion genre. The whole building is really an interesting piece of art of three levels: the Main Hall is a great venue for intimate shows, the Loggia Balcony Bar with beautiful arches is one of the best people-watching spots overlooking Historic Market Square, Knoxville, and you’ll find the “Scruffy Cinepub Under the Stars” on the “Scroof.” Come for a visit and see why this is ‘Knoxville’s Cathedral of Entertainment and Libations.’”

Kefi

The couple's FAVORITE restaurant!

Kefi is a concept rooted in Greek which translates very roughly to "Profound Passion". This simple statement captures the essence of what we are trying to bring to Knoxville. Food is an integral piece of the ancient Mediterranean culture. Stroll the shores of Greece and you will find tables filled with small, healthy plates each full of color, herbs, and taste. The food is cherished, but more importantly, it gathers us around the table with the ones we love. Kefi will bring this rich Mediterranean culture to the downtown streets of Knoxville.
