Arrival

You are welcome to rock up to the chapel ten minutes before your ceremony start time. Guests should arrive no earlier than ten minutes before your ceremony. If you are an eager beaver and you arrive a bit early, there are plenty of places to congregate on Johnston St - most people head next door to the Yarra Hotel. As soon as Altar Electric open the doors, drinks and good times are flowing!

Getting there

There are 2 hour parking spots on Johnston St near Altar Electric and 4 hour parking is available on Turner St, surrounding Victoria Park. Please note, these spots fill quickly, so we recommend people take an Uber/ taxi/ skateboard/ scooter or jet pack. Or you can always jump on public transport! The Victoria Park train station is 250 metres away and Johnston St is well serviced by the 200, 246, 302 and 350 bus routes. Please note that if you are planning to drive, Ichi Ni Nana is on Brunswick Street where parking is very limited.

Food and Drink

You might be wondering if you need to line your stomachs for the big day. After the ceremony, canapes and cake will be served throughout the cocktail hour and dinner at Ichi Ni Nana will start around 7:30pm. If you've told us your dietary requirements on your RSVP, the kitchen will be aware of your needs. You can put your wallet away as we will have a tab on the bar running the whole night. At Altar Electric, you're welcome to any wine, beer or prosecco, and at the reception we have the addition of whiskey, gin and vodka drinks being included. For non-alcohol drinkers, we have juices and soft drinks included on the tab which also pair well as mixers. If what's on the list doesn't suit your palette, you're welcome to order anything from Ichi Ni Nana's main menu at your own expense. Enjoy!

In between time

The fun at Altar Electric will finish up around 6pm. You're welcome to join us next door at the Yarra Hotel for a cheeky bevvy, but don't get too carried away. The party starts again at 7pm at Ichi Ni Nana with some traditional Sikh celebrations. We'd hate for you to miss the fun so prebooking Ubers are recommended.
