Our Wedding

In November 2022, we matched on Hinge, an online dating app. In less than a week, we went on our first date to Ray's favorite childhood sushi restaurant and quickly got lost in conversation. Ray would speak highly of his camping trips, escaping to the lakes and woods at any opportunity and eager to introduce this part of his world to me. I quickly fell in love with spending night after night outside - no makeup, no phone, just present. We have traveled to different countries, slept many nights in the rooftop tent under the stars, and put countless miles on our hiking boots. At Lake Aloha located in Desolation Wilderness, which is just a short drive north from our wedding venue, Ray got down on one knee and proposed in October 2024. We would like to share a glimpse of the outdoors to our loved ones who are making the trek out to Placerville to celebrate with us. With our lives moving at the speed of light, we hope that we can slow things down with you this weekend, untapped from our mobile devices and away from our daily stresses, to really enjoy the quality time together and embrace how simple and serene it is out here.

You have the option to book a double bed or king bed for 2 adults for $169 plus tax per night. Additional guests (2 max) will be a $15 added charge per night per guest. Option to book for one or two nights. It is a 12 minute drive to the venue.

Best Western Stagecoach Inn

No room blocks available. The hotel is a 20 minute drive to the venue. Rooms are about $400 plus tax a night. Also located at this hotel are a casino, arcade, go karting, bowling and golfing, and various restaurant options.

It is apple season! Come pick apples at High Hill Ranch. It is located directly next to the venue.

You can take a boat across the lake and do some hiking in Desolation Wilderness. Great views! It is about a 30 minute drive out.

Just an hour drive out or back. Spend the rest of the weekend jumping into the water in Lake Tahoe or exploring Sacramento's food scene.

On Main Street in Placerville. Lots of brews and on a cute street. Check out Timmy’s Brown Bag and Bagel Works on this street as well!

Burning Barrel Brewing and Spirits

Boa Vista Orchards

Hidden Star Camino is a taproom and bakery located in Camino, California. Its quaint barn taproom specializes in craft hard apple ciders and pours both glasses and flights from 24 varieties. Opens Friday-Sunday at 9am.
