If you know us at all, you know how much we love children! It wouldn't be a party without them. If your children are included in your RSVP please let us know. We have notified our venue and they will make children's meals if necessary. If you would prefer to make this a childfree evening and are in need of babysitting services please reach out. We are in the process of trying to figure that out.
Why is the wedding on a Sunday?
Rebecca was raised Jewish and wanted to have a Jewish ceremony. A Jewish wedding ceremony cannot take place on our Sabbath (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) so it was easiest to do everything on Sunday! To make this as easy as possible, we backed it up to a holiday week (July 4th) with the hope many of you do not have to go back to work Monday morning.
Will there be other Jewish traditions in the wedding?
Yes! There will be some Jewish/Hebrew prayers said during the ceremony and reception. We will also be breaking a glass, doing the horah and chair lifting, and will be accompanied by a chuppah. The Rabbi will be explaining many of these traditions before the ceremony begins and we will have programs detailing them as well.
What is the attire for the wedding?
Our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. What this means:
No jeans.
Suit and tie preferred
Colorful (not white) dresses, knee length or shorter. However, it will be June 30th and it may be very hot that day so please do not overdress!
