In the spring of 2018, I (Becca) moved to Stamford for work, swearing that I'd only stay "a year or two" in Connecticut before my next adventure. When my co-worker recruited me to play co-ed softball in the fall of 2018, I said "sure, why not".
Two things came from that decision:
1. I learned that adult, co-ed softball is not the kind of sport you just pick up and play with no experience. My full swing was a bunt at best.!
2. I met Chris, who was friendly, charming, and often times supplied hot apple cider and bourbon in the dugout- the quick key to my heart. He was somehow charmed by my swinging bunt and cheered me on to first base every time.
Our first "date" was at the infamous Brickhouse on Bedford Street, which also happened to be on Chris's birthday. I did not know this until one of his friends bought a round of drinks "for DiDo's 25th" - it was memorable, that's for sure!
The foundation of our relationship was built on date nights at Cafe Silvium and a mutual love for trying new restaurants, the New York Yankees, and IPAs. I wouldn't have it any other way :)
