Will I get altitude sickness?

While altitude sickness is rare. You will need a bit to acclimate so taking precautions is always good. Get plenty of water. Do not drink alcohol 48 hours before travel or exercise. Get plenty of rest. You may feel a bit winded or tired as you adjust. There are meds you can bring if you're super concerned. There's also oxygen at every store in Colorado to help with acclimation or any symptoms. A doctor can give you acetazolamide (Diamox) before you travel. This speeds up how fast your body gets used to the higher altitude. Nifedipine (Procardia) and dexamethasone are also used for altitude sickness.

How far is Grand Lake from Denver International

Thankfully, some shuttles go back and forth for airport travel to Grand Lake. Shared shuttles are even cheaper. Visit our Hotel & Travel Info page on this site for more details. The drive is about 2-2.5 hours from Denver and 125 miles away.

Do I have to stay at Grand Lake Lodge?

No, you don't have to stay at Grand Lake Lodge, but if you split a cabin with a party it could be cheaper than other hotels. We do have an 8-half cabin minimum to fill for 6/27-6/29 that are reserved at discount. As far as other hotels, I would check their reviews/ratings and our hotel/travel page for more discount links. Keep in mind that parking is limited at our venue for non resort guests.

What do I wear? Wedding attire?

Our wedding is semi-formal attire. For men, this can be anything from suit and tie, just a jacket and tie with nice slacks, or just a button down nice shirt with slacks. For women, this could be anything from dressy pants and blouse to a dress.
