Q + A

Alcohol -

We will not be suppling any alcohol for the Wedding, but you are more than welcome to bring your own for the Reception.

However, there are some requirement.

- There is No GLASS allowed

- If you bring a cooler to the reception with Alcohol, it must be put in a designated "bar" area that will be pointed out to guest.

-Absolutely NO ALCOHOL to MINOR!!

- AND ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKING AND DRIVING

We are not going to be fined for someone's stupid decision. The Black Lantern Resort will be enforcing these rules and if they are broken, you will be removed.

Where can you stay?

There are three opinions for Lodging, booking a hotel in the town of Bemidji, about 20 minutes away, booking a cabin in a nearby resort, OR staying at the wedding venue: The Black Lantern Resort. The Black Lantern Resort - We rented out the resort which has RV/camper and tent sites available. You would be able to stay at the resort from Friday until Sunday. Check-out is at 2:00 pm. Campsites are equipped with water, electricity, a picnic table, and a fire pit. At this time, there is no indoor plumbing, but plenty of outhouses. This factor may change by the wedding date. If you plan on staying at The Black Lantern Resort, which we hope most will, please indicate that on the RSVP invite.

What is the attire?

This is a very casual wedding. You may wear jeans and a T-shirt/shorts if you wish or a summer dress and a button-down.

The Weekend Food and Beverage.

This is camping, so you are allowed to bring any food and beverages you wish to have for your stay. We ask that during the Wedding, there are no Alcohol beverages, due to licensing concerns. We will provide snacks and dinner on the night of the wedding.

Entertainment

The Resort has a small lake on the property, and everyone has access to Kayaks, canoes, john boats, life jackets, paddles, and random fishing gear they have. There is no access to the lake for putting in boats brought by guests. There is a lake 1 mile down the road that has access but can't take big boats. The Resort encourages guests to bring their ATVs or golf carts as the property is large and there are many trails. We do plan on having lawn games available throughout the weekend for everyone to enjoy.

When RSVPing, please include if and how many of your children will be attending. We need a clear number of guests.

If you plan on staying at a hotel in the Bemidji area, we do plan on blocking off rooms at a hotel and having a shuttle bus from that hotel to Venue and back on the day of the Wedding.

Please stay tuned on which hotel it is.
