Evan and Rebecca met through a mutual friend while bouldering together at the climbing gym, Seattle Bouldering Project, in June 2019. In 2021, Rebecca reached out to Evan for a referral to his company, Redfin. After talking in depth about Evan's company, they proceeded to discuss all aspects of life and discovered that they had a lot of shared values. They went on their first date alone together to Seattle Bouldering Project on August 15, 2021, and their relationship quickly escalated from there as they continued to learn how much they enjoy each other's company and have in common. Evan says he knew he wanted to marry Rebecca after their first date (which was scheduled for 2 hours, but ended up lasting 12!). Since then, they've been running, climbing, dancing, backpacking, playing chess and pool, cooking vegan food, software engineering at the same company, and enjoying every day by each other's side.

Fun fact: Rebecca never ended up getting into Redfin, but instead went to GoDaddy and brought Evan over with her.

Evan and Rebecca went on their first trip together in November 2021 to Greece.

They bought their first home together in February 2022.

They got engaged in May 2022. Both passionate about making the world a better place for future generations, Evan proposed to Rebecca with a large donation to the World Land Trust to protect 100 acres of rainforest from deforestation.

In September 2022, they spent 2 weeks trekking through the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp. They both had a blast!
