It won’t surprise anyone who knows Dan and Beccah that their love story started with a book! They both decided to take their chances with online dating, and Dan caught Beccah’s attention with the famous opening line from a book she mentioned on her profile- The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. By proxy, this means Stephen King introduced us- thanks!

After a few days of chatting, they agreed to meet for coffee in Harvard Square. Beccah had a Town Mountain concert to attend that evening and no intentions of bringing this veritable stranger, but plans changed and Dan joined her at the Lizard Lounge for what would become the most important and memorable first date of their lives. The two quickly learned how much they had in common and got lost in conversation, and Dan impressed Beccah by shutting his mouth long enough to hear what she proclaimed as “oh my god, my favorite song!”

And once he got the seal of approval from Beccah’s cat, Jelly, the rest became history. Beccah and Dan have felt the magical serendipity of their meeting every day since September 4, 2015, and look forward to celebrating the greatest love of their lives with all of you on August 10, 2024.
