Regalia Thomas grew up in Staten Island, NY (and is therefore a Giants fan). Nicholas Jandl grew up in Williamstown, MA (and is therefore a Patriots fan).

Obviously, the story could have ended there.

But in the late summer of 2010, thanks to the talented matchmaker Mr. Mike Doyle (our wedding officiant), our stars were aligned for a dinner at Lenore's (Matron of Honor) house in Los Angeles. Nick arrived very nervous. Regalia didn't arrive at all, at least not until dessert.

And so the abbreviated blind date began. Few words were exchanged across the table by the nervous future lovebirds. Parting ways in the driveway, we did a weird half-kiss/hug goodnight on that fateful night. Then we proceeded to go on about eleven dates in ten days. Guess we should have seen the marriage thing coming.
