Anchorage

Anchorage is about 45 minutes from Girdwood (and the wedding venue Raven Glacier Lodge)

Transportation is not great here (though there is a free shuttle within Girdwood that drops off near the venue- https://girdwood.com/information/glacier-valley-transit/) -There is a shuttle that leaves from downtown Anchorage and goes to Girdwood: https://www.akfinest.com/girdwood-express/ for $40 per trip. -Best is to rent a car- super popular option here is Turo.com (similar to airbnb but for cars) ***Rent as early as possible as it gets more expensive and harder to find as it gets closer to summer

We plan to do a Friday morning float (should be fairly calm and about $100 per person). There is tons to do here (Check out the Things to Do section!) hiking is close and magical, biking, fishing, boating and exploring so if you can manage, stay a while!
